Rockwell College is a co-educational school for over 500 students. Approximately 150 students are full-time boarders; a third of these are international students. Approximately 40 teachers assist in the education and supervision of the pupils at the school’s rural setting in Cashel, Co Tipperary.

As with other Spiritan schools in Ireland the full secondary curriculum is available to all students. Students follow the Junior and Leaving Certificate programmes as well as the Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme and also the Transition Year option. A comprehensive daily programme runs until 8.15pm covering academic and sports classes, meals, recreation and evening study.

A community of six members of the Congregation of the Holy Spirit is based at the school which, founded in 1864, is one of the oldest Spiritan schools in Ireland and an integral part of the local community. Rockwell students are actively involved in this local community through their Christian work in liturgical celebrations, charity and fund-raising events as well as participation with children and adults with special needs.
