  Holy Family Community School is a co-educational, post-primary school of 700 students and 55 teachers. The joint patrons of the school are the Congregation of the Holy Spirit, the Presentation Sisters and County Dublin VEC. A Board of Management composed of nominees of patrons, parents and teachers governs the school.



Facilities at the school are extensive; there is a sports hall and science labs as well as an oratory and a cyber library. The school also has a selection of rooms specialized for Art, Music, Home Economic, Business Studies, Engineering, Construction Studies and Technology. The school offers the Junior and Leaving Certificates programmes, the Leaving Certificate Applied as well as Transition Year... A Learning Support programme helps students with special educational needs.

Students are offered a wide range of co-curricular and extra-curricular sporting, cultural and musical activities. An annual trip abroad is organised for students of Transition Year and Fifth Year and in recent years students have been to Kenya and Malawi. The school is one of the leading fundraising schools for Concern.

The school has a special commitment to the development of a learning community which provides for individually focused attention. Each year has a specific Year Head, assisted by Class Tutors who have responsibility for the care, academic progress and discipline of each student. The school has a full-time Chaplain, two Career Guidance Counsellors, a Students’ Council and Parents’ Association. Sixth Year students also take part in a mentoring programme for First Year students to help in their transition from primary school.
